Community Guidelines

Effective Date: July 5, 2026  ·  Last Updated: July 5, 2026

Plain-language summary: Rep's social feed is for sharing real training, supporting other lifters, and staying accountable. Be respectful, be honest, and report anything that isn't. These Guidelines work alongside our Terms of Service — if the two ever conflict, the Terms govern.

1. Our Community

Rep's social feed exists to help people train consistently — sharing workouts, cheering on friends, and following other athletes. These Guidelines apply anywhere you interact with others in the app: posts, comments, display names, profile photos, and direct interactions like follows and buddy sessions.

2. Be Respectful

Not allowed, anywhere in the app:

  • Harassment, bullying, threats, or targeted abuse of another user.
  • Hate speech or content that attacks people based on race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or similar characteristics.
  • Sexually explicit content, nudity, or content sexualizing another person without consent.
  • Impersonating another person, brand, or the Rep team.
  • Spam, scams, or repeatedly promoting unrelated products or services.

3. Be Honest

Rep works best when the data behind it is real. Please don't:

  • Fabricate workouts, weights, or personal records to mislead other users.
  • Use bots, scripts, or automated tools to post, like, or follow on your behalf.
  • Create multiple accounts to evade a block, report, or suspension.

Progress looks different for everyone — there's no benefit to inflating your numbers, and it undermines the community for people training honestly.

4. Display Names & Profiles

Your display name and profile photo must be appropriate for a general audience — no profanity, slurs, sexually explicit content, or impersonation. See Terms of Service, Section 5 for how we handle violations.

5. Reporting & Blocking

In the app

You can report or block any user directly from their profile, a post, or the likers list on a post. Blocking is immediate and mutual — a blocked user can no longer see your posts, follow you, or interact with you, and you won't see theirs.

What to report

Report content or accounts that violate these Guidelines — harassment, hate speech, impersonation, spam, or anything that made you feel unsafe. You don't need to block and report at the same time; they're independent actions.

Reporting incorrect exercise data (wrong equipment, weight input, or muscle group) is a separate flow — use the flag icon on an exercise or the ••• menu during a workout. That goes to our exercise-data review queue, not community moderation.

6. Enforcement

We review reports and act proportionally to the violation:

  • Minor or first-time issues (e.g. an inappropriate display name): a warning and a chance to fix it, typically within 7 days.
  • Repeated or moderate issues: temporary restriction of posting or social features.
  • Severe issues (threats, hate speech, sexual content involving minors, illegal activity): immediate and permanent account suspension, without prior warning.

This mirrors the moderation process described in Terms of Service, Section 5.
